Do I need a Plan “C” for my Wedding Day??
This weekend we had some nasty weather roll through the part of the state I was in. We were on a lake and had a outdoor wedding Ceremony planned and then the Reception was to follow inside the venue. Most venues will have some sort of “Plan B” option. In the event it rains, you can have the Ceremony inside and you and your guests will stay dry.
I’ve lived in Florida my whole life and went through 2 hurricanes in Ft. Lauderdale and a few years ago we had a storm come through central Florida and we personally lost power for about a week. Being the lightning capital of the world and the unpredictable weather we have in Florida you can lose power at any time. Your wedding day is a once in lifetime opportunity, there are no do-overs. You can’t reschedule for tomorrow. What is your DJs “Plan C” option if the power goes out in the middle of the Wedding Reception?
Since we are dedicated to help make your wedding day turn out just as YOU envision it, we take extra precautions that most DJs don’t bother taking. If the power goes out in the middle of the Wedding Reception, I carry enough back up power to run my sound system and dance lighting for an additional 8 hours seamlessly. Do I need to? Not really. What is the possibility of that ever happening? Slim yes …. But, It could. I’m not a gambling man but, if I was, I wouldn’t take that risk on my wedding day. And as a Wedding DJ, I won’t take that risk on your Wedding day either!
