The new “Premier Bride” magazine is out!!!
The new Premier Bride Magazine is out and if you haven’t picked it up yet, make sure you do soon. Not just because my ad is on Page 51 ….. but, because on page 22 and 23 there are the “9 Golden Rules For A Great Wedding Reception” and I thought that the 2nd one is perfect for my market. It says, and I quote: “Bad or inappropriate music and entertainment can kill a party faster than anything else, so spend the time necessary to select a good band or DJ. Find someone who can match the style and tone of YOUR wedding, can ‘read’ the crowd and keep the guests happy, and will respect your wishes. Be clear and specific about any songs or events that you do NOT want at your wedding”. When I meet with clients one of the questions I ask them is, What are some of the songs that you would like played at your Wedding Reception and what are some songs that you do NOT want played. There may be songs from past relationships, or songs that you just can’t stand to hear. Those are the songs I need from you. The last thing I want to do is play a song that was “Your” song when you dated Johnny or Suzy ….. and now you just married Mike or Sally. It’s a happy occasion and a time to make new memories not dredge up old bad memories.
Then again maybe you just don’t like the Electric Slide, Chicken Dance, Celine Dion …. I just had to through that one in there. Talk to your Wedding DJ and make sure they write down the DO NOT PLAY list and respect your wishes.
